This might win AFV

Here's a few tidbits from our time at Tyler Arboretum! It's been a lovely early spring in PA, and we have been enjoying the daffodils, crocuses, tulips, magnolias and cherry trees in bloom!

I am proud to present to you our daughter Laney, who is part giraffe.

Santa who?

Well, as Charlie Brown says, another Christmas has come and gone... This year was great but a little exhausting: two full days of family, food, and fun. It was wonderful to have Dan's eldest relative, Aunt Essie, finally meet Kira. They hit it off really well, as you can see! Kira was not so sure about Santa Claus, real as his beard may be.... He is a local postman who donates a few hours every year for the kids down at the post office -- what a nice relief from the mall Santas, eh? The whole holiday was terrific though, and Dan's teaching schedule provides us with so much time together as a family during the winter break. It is such a luxury to have such time together -- we are so thankful.

Anyhow, 2008 arrived with Monica and Kira barely staying awake for the midnight hour. It was a quiet and lovely evening spent at home snuggled up by the fireplace.

Hope all is well with you -- give your loved ones a snuggle from us! And check in with our pictures... there's a new album in there! click here http://picasaweb.google.com/monica.moran215

Sunday morning, coffee brewing

I feel like I finally woke up to the 21st century today and joined the rest of the gang. In the past several weeks, Dan and I have been thrust into the modern age. It all started with a generous gift from a friend -- a mysterious little thing people call an i-pod. Then, we got an awesome digital camera -- our first ever! I know, I know, the cave we've been living in doubles as a great darkroom though! And now, I have a brand new email account, joined up with picasa, and now this???? It is completely bonkers to me that creating a cleaned-up email address book, a cyber home for pictures, and a blog has become part of my nesting instinct. We're on the two-week countdown til baby Hecht arrives. My hands look like big beefy hamhocks, my belly is enourmous, and I have not recognized my feet as my own in weeks.
